Stempowski, formerly from northern Ohio, has been a resident of Washington County for seven years. She works for the Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher and computer administrator. Co-directors of the adult class Cheryl Lee and Marji Morris will continue in that position, facilitating adult class sessions. At the recent board retreat, the Awareness Washington County Board of Directors unanimously voted to hire Deni Stempowski for the position of Executive Director.
